ALL BMH BATTS ARE MADE ON FANCY KITTY DRUM CARDERS. Most of my batts contain hand processed fleece and may contain a very small amount of vegetable matter that should fall out while spinning and small "nepps" (these look like small felted bits)that are easily picked out when spinning or leave them in for a little texture. All fibers were dyed with professional dyes and are rinsed to remove excess dye, however, you may experiece a small amount of bleed the first time you wash the fiber.
Please note: multiple batts within the same colorway will look slightly different due to be handmade but have the same colors and fibers
SMOOTH----for smooth spinning, may contain occasional small nepps easily picked out
SEMI-SMOOTH---fairly smooth with more small nepps than Smooth batts contain
SEMI-TEXTURED--contains small "chunks" of fleece that did not get smoothed out in the drum carder and some nepps for a more textured yarn as well as sari silk or novelty yarns added for a bit of texture
TEXTURED---contains whole locks that were not smoothed out by the drum carder for a textured arty yarn or other items for their texture
SPARKLE FREE--contains no firestar or crystal metallic glitz

other projecs. The batts are only run through the carder only once so
the colors don't get blended and you have a highly textured batt. The fibers
in the batts can be anything (and sometimes everything) I have in my
fiber arsenal to play with.......alpaca, soft to medium grade wools, sparkle,
silk, bamboo, etc. These batts are great for practicing spinning more arty
yarns, bulky yarns, thick and thin corespun,....well whatever. The picture
