Machine embroidery thread has a high tencel strength and is suitable for plying with yarn unlike sewing thread and allows for more yardage in the finished yarn. It also comes in a wide variety of colors as well as metallic colors. In the messages at checkout please let me know how you would like it spun....fingering to sport, sport to dk, dk to worsted, or bulky AND if you would prefer a satin finish or metallic embroidery thread. There is some slight variation in thickness with handspun yarns. I will spin the fiber, ply it, wash and set the twist in the yarn, skein it, and count the yardage for you.
